Advanced mountain training
Moose and I have completed basic training , and low altitude training. We have moved on to the Eiger Sanction regime. Jonathan is our technical advisor.
Below is a video clip that I took on my cell phone on the summit of Mount Adams in the White Mountains, Sunday 2/17/o8.
Elevation 5774 ft, second highest to Mt Washington in the Whites. Wind speed 40-50 mph; temp 10-15F. Incredible visibility!
We hiked up Lowes Path to the Gray Knob Hut on Saturday. Made the summit on Sunday morning, then hiked out again.
Happy Birthday Moose! You are living proof that you cant keep a good man down.
The first person you see is my friend Jonathan; then Mt Washington, followed by Moose heading down, and a quick view of Mt Madison. Thats me with the sound effects.

This is a link to the RMC Gray Knob Hut which gives some additional info. There is wood stove, but it was never lit the entire time we were there. Inside temperature hovered around 30F, peaked at 40,low of 22 on Sunday AM before the cooking started. If anyone else is interested...another trip this season could be arranged.
